The highly visible expanding island west of the elevated U.S. Highway 181 causeway is being enhanced as part of a partnership involving the Coastal Bend Bays & Estuaries Program, Cheniere Energy, the Port of Corpus Christi and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers."
